Welcoming Note from Nairobi Campus Headteacher

Welcome to the Marion schools. We hope that as you become part of us, we will remain to be the schools of first choice to all the learners, parents and staff.

At Marion Schools we have developed a strong and caring whole school community, which has helped us go from strength to strength. Our bold, thoughtful and supportive staff ensures our children remain the most critical workers.
We would like our children to have a love for learning and the chance to experience activities across the whole curriculum. As we continue with implementation of the competency based curriculum, we look forward to the children developing personally in the spiritual, emotional, physical, and intellectual domains as well as growing into responsible citizens and have as many experiences as possible during their time with us.

Each child has to maintain a continuous focus in breaking their own records as envisioned in the holy bible: Galatians 6:4-5 (NIV) – Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, for each one should carry their own load.

We have high expectations in all our learners because we believe that every learner is an ‘A’ somewhere and should be given an opportunity to reach their full potential. All children, regardless of their ability, are able to access all areas of the curriculum and extracurricular activities.

We have created a supportive, friendly and nurturing environment which enables all children to feel safe and know they are listened to. We want to ensure all our children believe in themselves and their abilities, aspire to be the best they can be, want to learn so they can go on to achieve their dreams and goals.

As you join us, we pray that we shall create a harmonious community that is inspired by God for Excellence.

About Marion Preparatory School

Marion Preparatory School started as a nursery school in 1983 with a population of 3 students. The idea of starting a school initially came when Founding Directors’ children started going to school. He wanted them to have good education and though there were public schools, they wanted a better school for their children. They ended up taking their children to a private school, which was far away from home.

It was against this background that when the new Kahawa West Estate started in 1983 consisting of six hundred city council houses, the directors realized that there was a need for a nursery school to cater for the new households. The school has now grown to become Marion Preparatory (Primary and Kindergarten) and Senior (Secondary) now Kahawa West Campus with a population of 1000 plus. It has also grown and expanded with one more campus: Marion Farmhouse – Kiambu Campus.
